About The Role

We are currently searching for a Production Manager with strong management skills to join our team in Strathmerton, Victoria.
This role will be based at one of our largest sites in the country, where you will lead a high-performing team to achieve daily targets for Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Productivity KPIs. You will manage a large group of Supervisors and Operators across 24/7 operations in a fast-paced environment.

Located on the Murray Valley Highway, a little over 200 KMs north of Melbourne, nestled on the Murray River and surrounded by irrigated dairy farms and orchards, this picturesque town of Strathmerton is the home to one of our large Bega Cheese plants.
.Responsibilities

• Lead a team of strong and passionate employees to maximize team potential and outcomes
  
• Develop the skills, abilities, and potential of the Supervisors to enhance their growth and personal job satisfaction.
  
• Lead and manage operations within the team to budget expectations
  
• Ensure compliance with all site requirements and drive a culture of Safety - Promote the core value of Safety Always.
  
• Communicate and facilitate agreed operational strategies, objectives, and action plans
  

About you

• Tertiary qualification or relevant certification to manufacturing
  
• Demonstrated leadership abilities in a managerial or supervisory role for a min of two years.
  
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to coach and mentor staff
  
• An ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment
  
• Sound knowledge of LEAN manufacturing or Manufacturing Excellence is good to have
