Production Manager - Apparel

Love to Dream is looking for a highly organised, goal orientated Production Manager to join our growing, dynamic business. This full time position sits within our Production team, where you will be become an integral part of the team, focusing on the successful procurement and delivery of the Love To Dream baby product range to specified deadlines.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Create workable critical path/production garment schedules to ensure all orders will be delivered on time in full and to 100% quality expectation (Manufacturing outside of China)
• To ensure suppliers and all parties understand and agree with the Production Schedule to ensure on time delivery while meeting quality expectations
• Cost management, knowledge of CMT pricing to negotiate FOB terms.
• Working with Design and Merchandising teams on target margins
• To ensure the LTD colour and quality standard is achieved 100% through effective implementation of thorough quality control procedure and processes.
• Arrange and oversee all samples stages checking and generating approval comments by QA manager in-country
• Review sampling and bulk fabric testing report and know how to act on results if required
• Overseeing all bulk label and packaging orders to ensure delivery schedule is achieved
• Liaise with QC and 3rd party inspection company to help co-ordinate inline and final inspections, review the reports and act accordingly
• Review sealer samples (construction and trim) for inspection purpose (attach coloured tags to approved samples and send back to the suppliers.)
• Review sample garment inspection and lab test reports and act accordingly
• Liaise with LTD approved textile mills on sample and bulk fabric procurement and testing
• Manage all supply chain costs via the PLM system
• Work with the Shipping coordinator to support on time shipment handover date in country

About you - Qualifications and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and experience:

• Experience in Garment Production and Fabric Management with Mills
• Relevant tertiary education in Fashion & Textile Design and Development
• Critical path management skillset
• Knowledge of the garment and fabric development process
• Ability to problem solve through costing, fabric sourcing, sampling, and bulk production
• Excellent knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques and specification
• Garment production and import/export business knowledge
• Strong negotiator and good relationship builder
• Strong garment fit skills & communication with overseas suppliers
• Illustrator and photoshop skills advantageous
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word)
• PLM and Netsuite experience is advantageous
• Knit fabric and babywear knowledge would be advantageous
