In your role as Production Manager, you bear the responsibility for efficiently managing and orchestrating the manufacturing assets, which include raw materials, workforce, and production infrastructure.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, your responsibilities will be, but not limited to:
- Champion safety awareness & ensure all Health, Safety & Environmental policies & procedures and quality systems are complied with.
- Lead the team to achieve objectives, encompassing labour utilisation, compliance with EBA, payroll activities, safety, staff development, performance reviews, continuous improvement initiatives, housekeeping, production, service, quality, and cost control.
- Actively participate in audits of quality systems, build effective relationships with customers, and ensure client satisfaction, build & maintain effective relationships with suppliers to meet quality & supply chain goals
- Develop production plans and ensure they are met, maintain performance reports, introduction of new SKUs into the work area
- Monitor & control production output, weekly KPI’s and labour costs, ensure a working knowledge of P&L & participation in the budget process
What you will bring to the team:
Mandatory:
- Proven background in fast-paced manufacturing settings, specialising in can production and/or the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector.”
- Computer literacy – MS Outlook, Word & Excel
- Strong leadership, and people management skills
- A collaborative and hands on approach, and a natural ability to establish and maintain meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Desirable criteria:
- Engineering/production qualifications and/or experience working within Beverage Cans an advantage
- Basic understanding and exposure to profit & loss statements an advantage
- Experience in ISO, HACCP, GMP systems.
- SAP experience
