Job description

We are manufacturer of Medical Cannabis products, dedicated to providing safe, effective, and high-quality Cannabis products for patients in need. Our state-of-the-art facility operates under strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines to ensure the safety, purity, and consistency of our Medical Cannabis products. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and experienced Production Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of production within our GMP-certified Medical Cannabis Facility, including drying, processing, and packaging.
  • Lead and manage a team of production staff to ensure efficient and compliant manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet production targets while maintaining high-quality standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate and assist with other departments, including Quality Assurance, Research & Development, and Compliance, to optimize production processes and ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and streamline operations.
  • Monitor and maintain cultivation and processing equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
  • Develop and implement training programs for production staff to ensure competency and adherence to GMP guidelines and other regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and standards, including GMP, TGA, ODC and other applicable regulations governing the production of Medical Cannabis.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in resolving production-related issues and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agronomy, Plant Science, Biology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a production management role within a GMP-regulated environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical, cannabis, or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP regulations and requirements, with experience in implementing and maintaining GMP-compliant manufacturing processes in the cannabis industry.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing production team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Medical Cannabis processing, and packaging processes and regulations is highly desirable.
