Marland Farms QLD is a multi-generational business that produces white mushrooms to supply to the major grocery retailers from our state-of-the-art facility in Stapylton.(Yatala Turnoff)
About the role
To ensure that all functions relating to filling and emptying of grow rooms with special regards to quality, efficiency, safety, and cost effectiveness. The hours will consist of a start time between 12am - 3am until 10am- 12pm pending the required work on the shift.
Responsibilities
- Quality of room fills within specifications given by Head Grower/Managing Director
- Support machine operators with correct procedures and staffing
- Staff management and delegation
- Rostering of team and time sheet approval
- Expense management and approvals
- Team compliance with policies and procedures
- Team development and supervision
- Scheduling of deliveries, pick-ups and traffic management
- Supervision and management of room cleaners
- Ensuring the team are complying with all OHS policies and procedure
- A hands on role for someone who can be across many functions and enforce site safety.
- Manage a high functioning team with a focus on productivity and efficiency.
Skills and experience
- Basic knowledge of computer applications and systems.
- Excellent Communication skills
- Basic mechanical aptitude
