Job description
We have an amazing opportunity for a Production Manager to join our Production Admin Team on a full time basis. This position will oversee and be accountable for the output of the Production teams (inclusive of Printing & Pressing, Cutting, Sewing & QC) to ensure on time delivery on production orders.
What will it involve?
Overseeing locally made supply chain operations and ensuring production teams meet budget, time, and quality requirements
Monitoring fabric stock on a weekly basis and approving production schedules and annual forecasts
Analyzing daily production output and suggesting continuous improvement practices
Supporting development of production team leaders and coordinators
Managing performance reviews and return to work meetings for various production teams
Reviewing and approving rosters and staffing levels
Assessing weekly results from production control systems and quality data
Setting, monitoring, and achieving production and quality KPIs
Resolving ambiguous or challenging situations strategically
Overseeing plant and equipment maintenance programs
Benchmarking against industry best practices
Working with the CFO to manage and develop budgets for the production departments
What are we looking for?
Proven experience in a leadership and people management role
Highly analytical with the ability to draw strategic insights from data
Experience in budgeting
Have an in-depth knowledge of our sewing techniques and capability
Have excellent time management skills with a proven ability to whatever it takes to get the job done
Highly organised
Possess exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy
A positive enthusiastic approach to work
Be flexible, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Extremely pragmatic and solutions focused
Helping out in a “whatever it takes” environment
