About the roleRight in the heart of Griffith!
We currently have production roles to fill at our Griffith manufacturing facility. These roles will report to the Production Supervisor and can involve formulation and production of product (Miller) as well as operation of packaging machinery and running packing lines (Production Operator). We require people that have experience in a fast-paced production environment. A willingness and capability to learn coupled with the ability to work and contribute to a team environment is essential. The manufacturing operations at Griffith continue to grow, creating opportunities for motivated workers.
The following role description provides an outline for our Production Operator positions. There is also scope for suitably experienced and qualified candidates to quickly move through to our more complex roles as a Miller.
Training and support is provided for staff that show a capability and willingness to progress.
Key Responsibilities and duties- Operate packaging and filling equipment to pack various products according to
- work instructions.
- Ensure correct batch coding. Ensure work orders are followed and production.
- records are accurate and completed on a daily basis.
- Identify and report equipment and machinery faults.
- Supervise the production activities of factory hands ensuring they comply with the
- requirements of various organization policies and procedures.
- Operate a forklift to load and unload trucks as required.
- Perform production related activities and other activities on site as required by the
- Production Supervisor or Site Manager.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment for the designated work area.
- Ensure all production related documentation is completed accurately and in a
- timely manner.
- Comply with all Health and Safety policies, procedures at the site.
- Comply with all Quality Management policies and procedures at the site.
- Current forklift license
- Relevant experience in a similar production and factory role.
- Experience with operating complex production equipment such as packaging.
- machines.
- Ability to comply with Company WH&S policies and procedures.
- Attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to deliver business outcomes.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Commitment to complying with Company policies and procedures.
