Industrial Food Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fuji Oil is an innovative and growing confectionery manufacturer based in Melbourne. Due to increasing customer demands we are looking to appoint Production Supervisors for our production facility.
We are seeking expressions of interest for Production Supervisor for Night Shift across Production at our Barry Street production facility. This newly created role will report into the Production Manager and be responsible for driving engagement, safety, quality and production performance across all shifts and ensuring the customer experience is protected by driving process improvements and solutions alongside the support functions across IFS.
To be successful in this role you will be customer focused, not just on our external customers but our internal teams ensuring you instill a culture that is solutions focused, proactive and raising the bar around safety and engagement behaviours. Ideally you will have experience in manufacturing, specifically chocolate, leading teams and interpreting data to drive operational and people excellence.
You will be responsible for
- Supervise and lead a team of production operators, providing guidance, training, and motivation.
- Oversee the production process from raw materials to finished products, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other departments such as quality control, maintenance, and logistics to optimize production processes.
- Monitor production output and adjust staffing levels and resources as needed to meet production targets.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports, tracking key performance metrics.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings while maintaining product quality.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and cleanliness of production equipment and work areas.
- Implement and enforce safety guidelines and protocols to create a secure working environment.
About You
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a food manufacturing or confectionery setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of chocolate production processes, equipment, and quality standards.
- Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high-quality standards.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and a dedication to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and adapt to changing production demands.
