About the role
An exciting career opportunity exists for an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic Production Supervisor/Manager at our Seaford manufacturing site, Victoria. The full-time position will manage the activities of a manufacturing contract in the transport industry, work closely with the factory team to deliver a quality product and work with the company director to implement change management across the project to continually improve process. To be successful in this role you will need to have a strong presence and be an assertive leader, with exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills. Industry specific training can be provided. Remuneration will reflect level of experience.
Duties and responsibilities
- To work with Concept Fibres management team to ensure company goals and objectives are met.
- Co-ordination of all personnel within the department.
- Control of production flow through daily work scheduling with frequent contact with the manufacturing team.
- Liaise with Stock Controller to ensure that all orders are completed.
- Manage personnel functions, including staffing, inductions and training to Company procedure and product specifications.
- Monitor personnel performance and efficiency.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Keep Management advised of any changes likely to affect the completion of customer orders.
- Manage and organise purchase orders
- Manage existing and implement new CRM systems
- Coordinate deliveries to all project stake holders
- Perform daily quality inspections and provide feedback to the manufacturing team and report trends to management
Skills and experience
- Preferred experience in previous Continuous Improvement / LEAN project management role/s
- A firm grasp of manufacturing-related activities, specifically production cost control, safety and quality;
- Data analysis and reporting skills
- Analytical, Problem-solving & skills
- Creation and management of tracking spreadsheets using templates.
- Confident and personable communication and interpersonal skills
- Financial and Budget Management experience
- Project Management experience
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Demonstrated leadership experience, good financial understanding and people management skills.
- Experience with CRM is preferred.
