Secondary to this the Production Team Leader is a cross-trained employee that works within the warehouse team completing warehouse activities.

Role responsibilities:
- Production Management
- Ensure compliance with cGMPs and coordinate with the Demand Planning Team
- Provide proper training and guidance to production employees
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels of production consumables and materials
- Collaborate on Production SOPs
- Prioritize and delegate responsibilities and repackaging activities
- Inspect all finished goods to ensure all products meet quality standards
- Investigate all discrepancies and follow disciplinary process as needed
- Preparation and Production of Chemicals and Devices
- Perform Production tasks/duties to meet the demands of the operation
- Coordinate all repackaging activities with Warehouse, Demand Planning, & Quality Teams
- Ensure labs/production tools are maintained according to procedure
- Ensure PPE is always maintained according to procedure
- Ensure daily targets such as production schedule, staging timeframes are met
- Utilize programs such as SYSPRO, MEDPLANNER, MEDWMS, and MEDPRINT for production processes
- Inspect/Verify Packaging Masters/Labels according to procedure
- Collaborate with all departments as needed for maximum efficiency
- Leadership and Training
- Train, coach and motivate employees to ensure KPIs and SOPs are being followed and met
- Promote a high-performance culture
- Identify risks and opportunities for improvements and support the implementation of corrective actions.
- Maintain an excellent work climate, valuing participative management and communication
- Facilitate team meetings at the beginning of each shift and weekly
- Ensure employees perform job responsibilities with a focus on quality and optimisation
- Participate in the interview process for new hires
- Health & Safety
- Ensure and promote compliance with Medisca’s safety guidelines
- Ensure that all health and safety requirements are being met
- Conduct investigations following incidents/accidents and propose action plans.
- Be an active member of the Spill Response Team
- Ensure proper protocols are utilized in accordance with company policy
- Warehouse Management:
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness
- Complete warehouse activities assigned by Warehouse Manager incl but not limited to inventory management, receiving, and picking, packing and shipping tasks
- Back up 2IC for the warehouse as needed
- Repackage chemicals and devices in clean rooms
- Prepare rooms prior and conduct cleaning upon completion of production
- Maintain and advocate quality standards

About you:
- 3-5 years’ experience leading a team
- Minimum three (3) years experience in a warehouse/laboratory environment
- Production experience in chemical/pharmaceutical industry preferred
- A strong leader with a positive attitude and the ability to coach others
- Strong decision making and a hands-on approach to meeting objectives
- Collaborative team player with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills: fluent English (oral & written) required
- Required to lift materials (boxes, drums, bags) up to 25kg whilst following workplace health and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Knowledge of SYSPRO/MEDWMS/Other ERP systems an asset
- Ability to use FORKLIFT and other powered equipment an asset
- Use of Respirator and full PPE required, such as full-face mask, gloves, hairnets, coveralls and lab coats
