About the role
We currently have an opportunity for a motivated Assembly Worker to join our Melbourne based team.
Reporting to the Lorient Team Leader this role will be working as part of a fast-paced production line team and be responsible for utilising a range of equipment for the for assembling of components into high quality semi-finished and finished goods.
You will be:
- Assembling components into sub-assembly and finished products
- Operating associated equipment in accordance with SOPs
- Compliant to Safety and Quality procedures
- Filling out appropriate check sheets and/or SPC
- Using measuring equipment and gauges accurately
What we are looking for
As an integral part of the team within a wider business, you will be a clear communicator and an effective team player that can manage your time and focus for long periods of time. While there are technical elements to this role that you will need proven experience in, it's not all that we're looking for.
We want people who:
- Have assembly experience in manufacturing
- Possess a strong focus in Work Health and Safety
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Can work effectively as part of a team
- Can perform well under pressure in a fast-paced production line environment
- Are eager to learn and can follow tasks and directions
- Have Knowledge or experience in 5S and Continuous Improvement processes
