Supervisor: Dalby Family Support Management Committee – Senior support worker
Probationary period: 3 Months
- The development of a Disaster Resilience Plan in consultation with the WDRC.
- Develop or source resources for families.
- Requesting and tracking feedback from clients, professionals and stakeholders to measure outcomes. Making adjustments to service delivery if required.
- Promotion of Dalby Family Support Association within the catchment area reaching families most vulnerable to lack of support in a disaster event.
- Design, assemble and distribute emergency kits – maintain inventory, budget and distribution records.
- Co-ordinate with local professionals to develop workshops and training sessions for a range of skill, resilience and capacity building exercises.
- Plan and execute community events and activities (morning tea, playgroups, training sessions) that promote social interaction, inclusivity and connection. This will include risk assessment and risk management.
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation to include all activities, inventory, budget, distribution records, milestones, feedback and outcomes in preparation for monthly and quarterly reporting and grant acquittal.
- Some administrative support tasks relating to the day to day running of Dalby Family Support e.g. maintaining records, monthly reporting to the Committee.
Assessing (in collaboration with the Family Support Workers) the needs of the families attending training and development sessions and creating the plans accordingly.
Key Selection Criteria
- Administrative skills, including attention to details, the ability to maintain accurate details, and competency in key operating systems such as Microsoft suite and willingness to learn P2I systems.
- Strong organisational skills to effectively plan and coordinate programs.
- Experienced in WHS responsibilities and the ability to undertake risk assessments.
- Effective interpersonal skills to be able to coordinate and collaborate with clients, and all stakeholders.
- Understanding of emergency preparedness and the ability to adapt and update based on changing needs.
- Flexible thinking and ability to work in a dynamic team working environment.
- Knowledgeable of client confidentiality – Maintaining high standards of confidentiality at all times.
- Previous program coordinating experience - highly regarded.
