To provide primary project coordination and support to the SustainaWOOL Integrity Scheme (SWIS); focussing on sustainable practices.
The Company
Australian Wool Exchange Ltd (AWEX), provides services to support and promote the wool industry with innovation strategies aimed to grow the industry. SustainaWOOL Integrity Scheme (SWIS) is a critical program creating and developing minimum benchmark standards within wool production, ultimately providing integrity and traceability from the grower through connection with our Supply Chain Partners.
SWIS was created in 2015 through collaboration of some of the world’s leading wool processors and specialist wool growers and buyers.
The Role
As Program Coordinator - Sustainability and Integrity, you will take ownership to provide project level support to the program with specific focus on administration support, wool grower engagement, accreditation, and program reporting. Working closely with the greater SWIS program and Program Management team, you will be pivotal to the planning and execution of admin functions, communication, stakeholder engagement and extension activities, along with administrative functions.
Ultimately you will work with a dynamic and passionate team specifically to maximize the positioning and uptake of the scheme. You are the ‘go to person’ on all administration matters for SWIS.

The Person
To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills and experience:
- Exceptional administration and project management skills to ensure milestones are met and things do not slip through the cracks
- Excellent communication and listening skills to work with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in a project management role with high levels of stakeholder engagement
- Ideally an affinity or exposure to agriculture (wool/sheep preferred)
- A proven ability to think outside the square, listen while influencing change in farming practices
- Well organized and disciplined, and happy to work in a team environment
- Flexible, adaptable and be outcome focused
- High level of passion for the industry
AWEX provides considerable support for the role and provides a flexible work environment. Ideally based in Sydney, however a regionally based person or alternative capital city will also be considered.
