Are you passionate about creating exciting and memorable experiences and events for prospective students? The University of Wollongong is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Events & Program Coordinator. This position is critical in providing a consistent, student centric approach to events, that results in high levels of engagement and participation with prospective students and their influencers.
This role exists within the Events & Programs team within the Outreach & Future Students Division which manages and delivers excellence in services for future UOW students and works to provide widening participation opportunities to students from equity backgrounds. Outreach & Future Students provides a suite of activities, events, and communications to facilitate access to higher education for various target audiences throughout their decision-making processes, including students of all ages and backgrounds, caregivers and teachers.
The Events & Program Coordinator will work collaboratively with various Faculties and units to develop a deep understanding of their offerings to design programs that will enhance engagement and experiences at events and programs always utilising student-centric and market lead approaches.
The incumbent for this role will contribute to or lead various Events & Programs including but not limited to Open Day, Discovery Days, Careers Expos & on campus school engagement activities.
The ideal candidate will have a Degree with relevant experience, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and /or education/training and strong skills in event management, project management or program design and delivery with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Working in a market lead environment the candidate should be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment working both as a team and independently on innovative events and activities.
