About the Company 
This NSW Government agency is looking for a Program Director - Engineering to come in for a 10 month contract. This position is full time based out of Sydney CBD with hybrid working arrangements.
  
About the role 

• Spearhead the Engineering and Maintenance transformation program, aligning it with strategic goals, ensuring integration of services, and driving efficiencies.
• Establish and lead multi-disciplinary teams and Subject Matter Expert (SME) groups, fostering stakeholder engagement, risk identification, and effective communication strategies to achieve high-quality outcomes.
• Act as the primary contact for the transformation program, building strong stakeholder partnerships, and implementing engagement strategies that bolster program delivery.
• Develop robust governance structures, project management frameworks, and performance evaluation mechanisms to ensure program implementation within timelines, budget, and defined outcomes.
• Manage the entire project lifecycle, including risk mitigation, interdependencies, and governance, facilitating effective communication and monitoring KPIs
• Contribute to strategic and business planning, aligning program priorities with organizational objectives to drive success.
• Lead and empower teams to deliver business outcomes, enhance performance, and build individual and organizational capabilities.
• Execute safety responsibilities in accordance with safety management system, ensuring adherence to safety standards and protocols.

• Extensive experience leading transformation in engineering or large transport sectors.
• Proven success in complex technical and engineering initiatives within safety-driven, unionized environments.
• Strong stakeholder and SME engagement skills.
• Ability to coordinate and manage multidisciplinary teams effectively.
• Impressive academic qualifications in relevant fields.
• Track record of delivering impactful change programs.
• Thrives in dynamic, challenging roles.
