This project is an improvement programme focused on uplifting the connection experience for our customers and industry partners who wish to establish a connection to our electricity distribution network.
As the Program Manager in our Reimagining Customer Connections Project, you will be tasked with delivering a complex transformation program that will enable Ausnet to transition to scale its electricity connection activities in response to the energy transition that our customers are undertaking.
Help us in leading the way by undertaking the responsibility for the successful delivery of all aspects of the project. This role will work with Network Operations, Digital and external industry stakeholders to deliver improvements and enable the energy transition for Ausnet electricity customers. It will provide not only the business leadership but the focal point for the project.
With a Hybrid split, this role is based in Southbank and is part of the Reimagining Customer Connections Project Team in Network Operations. This role is a fixed term contract role for 12 months.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
- Develop and implement the roadmap for the Reimagining Customer Connections journey and associated operational transformation.
- Delivery of project business cases, delivery approach and effective management of cost, schedule, risks, issues, resources, partners, scope, operationalisation, and quality for project outcomes.
- Ensure alignment to required governance, forecasting, and reporting as required by the enterprise CPG.
- Build and maintain successful relationships with stakeholders & delivery partners embedding yourself as a trusted partner.
- Lead a high performing and accessible team (based on demand / flex) having a strong understanding of how digital and technology enables the business the deliver.
- Contribute to our ability to deliver our services by demonstrating an understanding of work health safety and cyber security standards and applying them to relevant activities in the workplace.
- Be adaptive to changes and innovations in the digital landscape that can help us grow our network and support the energy transition.
- Develop, implement, and monitor the governance systems and processes to effectively manage and evolve the program of work ensuring alignment to the overarching Operational and Digital program of work.
You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
- Highly experienced Project/Program Manager who has successfully demonstrated an ability to lead and deliver large complex programs of work impacting people and process, technology, and customer to deliver a successful business outcome.
- Demonstrated operational project management experience such as budgeting, resourcing, planning, risk-management, group facilitation and reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and with demonstrated experience in engaging and influencing senior stakeholder groups (including external industries – energy retailers, electrical trade, developers).
- Experience with vendor & commercial management in a delivery environment.
- Strong Commercial capability – managing outcomes through partner and vendor organisations and driving results through strong partnerships.
- Demonstrated management of projects from conception to implementation and realisation of program objectives
- Applied experience with SAP, Salesforce, Sitecore systems is highly desirable.
- Relevant training or qualification in project & program management (EG PRINCE 2 or PMP)
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge of key market drivers, industry players and latest developments within energy markets as related to establishment of electrical connection infrastructure.
