The Salvation Army Australia's Homelessness Stream provides high quality, person centred services to people at risk, and or experiencing homelessness. We support adults and families, including accompanying children with accommodation, case management, outreach support, financial assistance, connection and referral to other specialist services.
About the roleWe are seeking a values-driven Program Manager who will strategically develop, manage and lead person-centred service delivery, operations, and staff of the QLD Homelessness First Response Program. The role oversees the provision of phone based and face to face brief intervention, case management and mobile support to individuals and families at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
To actively contribute to The Salvation Army's Vision, Mission and reflect the Values of the organisation in all aspects of the role.
You will successfully- Ensure services are inclusive, accessible and responsive for our diverse clients
- Delivery of state agendas and operational/local plans aligned to national agendas
- Oversight of practice and service delivery
- Line management & supervision of Team Leaders
- Ensure recruitment of quality & qualified workers
- Lead and drive local and growth strategy in consultation with Regional Manager
- Ensure voice of participant is heard in planning, service design and continuous quality improvement activities
- Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field OR demonstrated high level of sector knowledge and skills attained through previous appointments, service and study/development
- Relevant experience in a social service environment including in leading and supervising staff
- Relevant state Working with Children Check is required
This role within the First Response Team is a full-time, permanent position located in Brisbane, QLD. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Level 7 Award.
