Cable Layers Australia (CLA) is a Civil Construction Company specialising in excavation and directional drilling services to the power, communications and civil works industries in Western Australia
We are currently seeking a self-motivated Project Administrator, you will be required to assist the Project Manager and Construction Manager in supporting critical functions such the tender process, contract execution, management of progress claims, variations and other project, commercial and financial duties to ensure the efficient and effective administration of Projects.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and create cliental contracts
- Raise purchase orders
- Population of MDR – close out documentation in a timely manner
- Subcontract management including receipt and processing of subcontract interim payment claims & final accounts
- Process claims for variations and additional entitlement to time & money.
- Prepare, submit & agree contractual claims.
- Understanding and submitting permit to the City Authorities for approval
- Provide subcontractor Management through the end-to-end process of the project
- Provide a comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of contract management, program financial management, risk and opportunity management, performance reporting, budget preparation and administration of major infrastructure projects.
- Delivery weekly status reports to clients in a timely manner
- Advise the project management team on contractual issues & initiate correspondence.
- Monitor Debtors ensuring prompt responses to customer queries and payment
The Application MUST have the following –
- Project administration experience preferably within a project team
- Experience in Civil, Construction or other relevant industry would be advantageous
- Be able to interpret construction drawings and project scopes
- Provide an understanding of contractual methodology and pronouns
- Strong proficiency in MS Word & MS Teams, Email software, Power Point, and SharePoint. High level of proficiency with MS Excel a must and a competence test may be required as part of hiring process
- Strong interpersonal skills along with your ability to liaise confidently with a variety of internal and external stakeholders will be highly regarded.
- Great time management skills and the ability to organise and prioritise own workload with a strong attention to detail
- Flexibility within role being able to adjust to any given task or situation.
- A comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of contract management, program financial management, risk and opportunity management, performance reporting, budget preparation and administration of major infrastructure projects.
- Ability to administer several subcontracts and purchase agreements and demonstrate a logical and sequential means of processing a large volume of data with minimal supervision and accountability for its completeness and accuracy.
- Experience with the procurement of subcontract packages.
