Seeking an experienced Project Administrator for contract work in the North West of Tasmania
Your new company
This Tasmanian-owned and operated company has been around for 80 years. Beginning in the south of the state and expanding across the entire state and branching out into the mainland. They started out as a transport business and moved into earth moving and eventually civil construction. The team based in the North West of Tasmania are looking for a Project Administrator to join the team on a full-time temporary basis to work on the completion of their ongoing project.
Your new role
As the Project Administrator, your core duty will be to provide administrative tasks pertinent to the project. These duties include,
- General site office administration as required, including greeting visitors and making phone calls
- Preparation, collation & management of weekly payroll reports for all site personnel
- Implement agreed project financial and cost control processes
- Issue purchase orders for projects
- Match invoices for purchase orders
- Ensure all project costs are correctly coded
- Reconcile subcontractor invoices
- Assist with monthly financial reporting
What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate, you'll have demonstrated experience in a similar Project role, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and a proven track record of general administration gained by practical experience. You have the following;
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
- Good understanding of construction industry systems, including accounting and administration
- Self-management and planning and commitment to delivering results
- Excellent organising and time management skills
- Good knowledge, understanding and use of Microsoft Excel software
