The role

The Project and Change Manager will scope and plan for a specific project with considerable human resources and Change management components. The role will work closely with stakeholders to define the project scope, objectives, and deliverables. It will also plan the project activities and identify the risks, issues, and dependencies. The Project and Change Manager will assess the impact of the changes, develop change strategies which engage and communicate with the affected groups. You will also plan, execute, monitor, and control the project activities, as well as manage the risks, issues, and dependencies.

In this role you will:

  • lead and facilitate project planning sessions, ensuring alignment on project scope, objectives, and deliverables among stakeholders.
  • develop and maintain Project and Change management plans, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, communication, and stakeholder management.
  • collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate project activities, manage dependencies, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • utilise your expertise in change management to develop change strategies, and execute plans to drive successful adoption of new processes, systems, and initiatives.
  • employ effective communication techniques to provide regular updates, status reports, and presentations to senior management and project stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • ensure that the Project and Change management deliverables are aligned with the organisation’s strategies and policies.
  • lead and manage the Project and Change management activities from initiation to closure.

To be successful in the role you will:

  • have a proven track record of successfully delivering projects and Changes that meet the objectives, scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • possess a strong knowledge of and demonstrated experience in applying Project and Change management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • have excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • be highly organised, analytical, and problem-solving, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • be flexible, adaptable, and resilient, with the ability to cope with ambiguity and Change.

Required skills, knowledge, experience and/or qualifications

  • Certification in Project and Change management, such as PMP, PRINCE2, or PROSCI, is desirable.
  • An understanding of human resource practices such as work health and safety.
