Our client is a Brisbane-based medium size firm that works across a number of projects. This role is working in their Special Projects team that works across a variety of sectors which offers you a variety of interesting work across a number of sectors including, commercial, multi-res, education, and a large variety of typologies.
This role will be working closely with the Partner and playing a leadership role within the team leading and mentoring a team of architects and architectural graduates. You will play a leading role on projects working with the Partner to lead the projects from end to end. You will be in charge of day-to-day client, consultant, and team management.

As a Project Architect and Team Leader you will;

• Play an active role in the delivery and management of projects from all stages; concept design to contract administration
• Manage the day-to-day operations of projects, updating Partners as necessary
• Ability to create and review drawings in ArchiCad; including checking and marking up drawings and reviewing team members' drawings and documenting projects if needed
• Leading and mentoring the team throughout projects
• Managing client, consultant and stakeholder relationships and communication
• Contributing to the studio culture and mentoring and development for other team members

About you:
We are looking for an experienced architect, with min 5 years of experience with proven experience in delivering a range of project typologies across small to medium-sized projects (1 mill to 100+ mill) and enjoy playing a leading role on projects from end to end and leading and mentoring team members.
This is an Archicad firm, so knowledge and experience using Archicad will be highly useful or you are willing to learn this tool.
You will be leading projects from end to end so will need delivery, design, and project leadership skills in leading teams on projects, managing clients, consultants and stakeholder communication. As Project Architect, you will both leading and working on projects you will be on the tools working on projects so Archicad and or similar 3D software like Revit will be necessary for your day-to-day role. They are happy to train those with all the other requist skills and experience Revit if needed.
Ideally you will have:

• Ideally working knowledge and use of ArchiCad or other 3D Architectural software
• Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering designs from briefing to project handover
• Experience leading teams, and larger design teams including consultant and stakeholder management as the principal consultant
• Demonstrated experience in working with Project Managers and Consultants as part of a larger design team
• Excellent communication skills and ability to proactively communicate with clients, consultants and internal team members
• Experience and involvement in client relationship management
• Extensive experience in design development and construction detailing in Commercial or Education sectors will be highly regarded
• Capacity to work as part of a team with the ability to work autonomously as required
• Rendering and photoshop skills will be highly regarded
