Key Responsibilities:
- Estimating: Assist in preparing accurate estimates for carpentry projects, ensuring all costs are accounted for and within budget.
- Procurement:Manage the procurement of materials and sundries, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.
- Contract Administration:
- Handle Variation Orders (VOs) and ensure they are properly documented and communicated.
- Manage progress claims, ensuring they are submitted on time and accurately reflect the work completed.
- Defects & Handover: Oversee the identification and rectification of defects, ensuring smooth handover to clients upon project completion.
- Quality Control: Work closely with the Quality Controller to maintain high standards of workmanship throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Project Assistant or similar role within the construction or carpentry industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
