About the Role

The Digital Information Services branch delivers agile and transformative information and technology, enabling council to be a leader in providing innovative and sustainable services to its communities.

The Project Communicationsand Change Officer role supports the change management, communications, and training requirements of various ICT projects to help ensure the successful project delivery to the Organisation.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Participating in project implementation activities, potentially across multiple projects concurrently within Digital Information Services (DIS)Branch.
• Liaise with project managers and Change analysts to establish effective communications strategies.
• Prepare and distribute communications for DIS IT PMO projects utilising a variety of channels in consultation with the Project Teams.
• Prepare and deliver training materials as required by the IT PMO Projects.
• Providing mentoring and familiarisation training for new initiatives delivered by DIS IT PMO projects.
• Participate in organisational change activities associated with the delivery of DIS IT PMO projects.

This position is based at the Sunshine Coast City Hall, in the heart of Maroochydore CBD. This state of the art and sustainable building is designed to achieve an innovative and collaborative workspace.

About you

As the Project Communicationsand Change Officer, you will have previous experience in project implementation activities with a variety of business areas and staff at varying levels of an organisation.

You will possess previous experience in agile project delivery.

And demonstrated experience in developing and distributing communications across a vast audience.

You will have proven problem analysis, decision-making and resolution skills, and a clear understanding of the change management process.

As a requirement of this role, you will possess Undergraduate degree qualification in a relevant field and/or equivalent practical experience in Business Systems Implementation, Project Life-cycle Process, requirements gathering, process mapping, training and Quality Assurance methods.
