Our Office of Major Transport Infrastructure Delivery Division is currently offering an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to contribute to the Project Communications teams aligned with METRONET project delivery.
About the Role
We're seeking a Project Communications Support Officer with a background in public relations or communications to join our energetic team. The role will involve supporting Project Communications teams with financial administrative tasks, organising communications materials, assisting with the coordination of events and community engagement activities, and efficiently handling day-to-day administrative tasks. The proactive individual will play a pivotal role in supporting the communications branch and will deliver customer-focused services, coupled with a solid understanding of office procedures and systems.

This is a fixed term appointment to 30 June 2026 with the possibility of extension and /or permanency, available for immediate start. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool for 12 months from which permanent and fixed term appointments will be made.

  • A written application addressing the following selection criteria from the JDF in no more than 4 pages:
  • Relevant experience in public relations/communications department/branch.
  • Experience in providing administrative support and a good understanding of office procedures and office systems.
  • Ability to work effectively as a key support person within a team environment with demonstrated customer focus and commitment to quality service.
  • Well developed interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to relate effectively with internal and external officers and managers at all levels.
  • Applicant must hold a valid Western Australian driver’s licence.
  • A completed Integrity and Qualification Consent Form (attached) as all PTA positions are subject to ongoing integrity screening.
