MOEC Pty Ltd provides pipeline construction services to our clients in the Mining and Oil & Gas industries.
We are seeking an experienced Project/Contracts Administrator to provide commercial Contract Administration and Project Clerical support to our growing business.
This role would suit a site Project/Contracts Administrator seeking a fly-in - fly-out based position at our Surat Basin Office, working closely with the Construction Manager.
As the Project/Contracts Administrator, you will be responsible for effectively and efficiently managing aspects of the project's contractual obligations on behalf of the Company to ensure all parties fulfill the directives and requirements under the contract. This includes supporting the project team to interpret, review, and negotiate variations to the contract and other support when required.
General Duties shall include:
- Project cost control
- Supplier invoice review, project cost tracking, and project analysis
- Provide Administrative support to the Project;
- Award and administer contracts for the supply of materials and equipment as well as subcontracted works
- Maintain and update variation registers and provide updates as required.
- Review technical and contractual documentation.
- Prepare documentation and administer claims including maintaining records for delays, extensions of time, and variations in line with contractual requirements
- Project forecasting & cost reporting to Management
- Project document control.
- Participate in policies and procedures, including work health and safety.
Skills and experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position
- Qualification in business administration, project management or legal studies or equivalent years or relevant experience
- Expert knowledge and experience in contract administration
- experience in purchasing/procurement processes
- Comprehensive understanding of project cost analysis
- Expertise in communication, influencing and negotiation
- Strong analytical skills in the interpretation of contract conditions
- advanced written and verbal reasoning skills to prepare and interpret project documentation
- Knowledge of project management fundamentals
- Experience in contributing to project design and implementation
- Ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team
