The Western Australian Electoral Commission (WAEC) manages elections events for State and Local governments and non-parliamentary organisations.
About the role
The Project Coordinator is a role within the Election Operations Division and is responsible for the management of the non-Parliament elections and managing specific projects for Election events. This is a twelve-month full-time contract to cover a period of parental leave with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
This selection process may be used to identify suitable applicants for similar vacancies that may arise in the next twelve months.
About you
We are looking for a dynamic professional coordinator who has had experience in leading and managing large projects and/or events. You will have proven planning and organisational skills and experience in the development of procedures. You will have well developed communication skills and have a proven understanding of how to solve problems efficiently. You will be able to demonstrate flexibility and cope with day-to-day changes in priorities.
You will work within the Election Operations Division and as a member of the WAEC will work to achieve its objectives, comply with its values, and provide services which are in accordance with existing frameworks.

Eligibility
To be eligible for a fixed-term appointment you must either be an Australian citizen, have permanent residency status or have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the duration of the contract.
All employees are required to undergo employment screening, which includes a Police Check and other checks that may be relevant to the position requirements.
The successful applicant will be required to sign a Declaration indicating they have no active or official connection with any political party and will maintain the necessary confidentiality to ensure the integrity of the Commission.
