Project Coordinator
Optus Stadium provides WA with a world class venue to host major sports and entertainment events. The multi-purpose Stadium and the surrounding Stadium Park is open 365 days a year and has been designed with a fans-first focus. The VenuesLive management team is responsible for operating the Stadium and is committed to growth and innovation in the areas of venue management, event delivery and catering services.
Reporting to the Head of Facilities, the Project Coordinator will form an integral part of the Facilities team and will play an important role in the day to day operations of Optus Stadium.
Your focus will be:
- The coordination and management of Projects requiring State Government approval for changes to the stadium’s infrastructure
- Engagement with stakeholders within the VenuesLive team to ensure works are scheduled around and do not impact upcoming events.
- Frequent coordination with the Facilities Management team to determine project feasibility, scope and costs.
- Development of detailed project works programs and monthly project updates.
- Manage contractor relationships, including access, inductions and works approvals.
- Prepare and submit Operator Works Proposals encompassing detailed project scope, costs and risks for approval.
- Ongoing engagement and documentation development to ensure each department remains educated on the processes and lifecycle of stadium projects.
- Involvement in the stadium’s Asset Management Plan, including its development through engagement with various departmental representatives and the preparation of documentation to better facilitate these discussions (i.e. – Asset Condition Reports).
To be successful, you will have:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Project Coordination
- Experience in coordinating and working with a variety of stakeholders
- Proven success in a corporate setting, working with all levels of management
- Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred but not essential
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Competency in Windows including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook

While standard hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm, the nature of the event industry means that you will be required to work outside these hours particularly around non-event day activities and events being staged at Optus Stadium and Stadium Park.
