AddressLighthouse Engineering are seeking a skilled and organized Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team in the steel fabrication industry. The Project Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of projects from initiation to completion. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and coordination skills to effectively liaise between clients, project managers, and the production team.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Scheduling: Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, timelines, and schedules. Ensure all project milestones and deadlines are met within budgetary constraints.
Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
Resource Allocation: Coordinate with the production team to allocate resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, as per project requirements. Monitor resource utilization to optimize efficiency and productivity.
Documentation Management: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, specifications, drawings, and change orders. Organise and archive project records for future reference and auditing purposes.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control personnel to ensure that fabricated steel components meet industry standards and client specifications. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any quality issues proactively.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with projects and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and delays. Monitor project performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with external vendors and subcontractors to procure materials and services required for project execution. Negotiate terms and agreements to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.
Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols at all project sites. Conduct regular safety inspections and provide training to personnel on safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Proven experience in project coordination within the steel fabrication or construction industry.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Excel).
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to steel fabrication and construction.
Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to address project challenges effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
