Our client is seeking to engage a Project Coordinator on a Permanent, full time basis
Role Overview:
The Project Coordinator is a pivotal role within the Projects team, assisting the Project Managers in managing specific aspects of projects and providing support to the project managers and team. This position involves thorough organisation and planning of designated tasks, with a focus on administrative responsibilities to facilitate the delivery and quality of Company values.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
Undertake each project with professionalism, delivery quality and value, budget, and capex management. The Project Coordinator will build strong and solid relationships including co-ordination with consultants and builders, lodging and obtaining building approvals and all things necessary to commission projects associated with.
- Collaborate with professionalism to ensure the quality, value, and budget adherence for each project.
- Assist in the development of new buildings, precinct infrastructure, and the renovation or refurbishment of existing structures, with a focus on quality, value, and budget management.
- Contribute to the regular supervision of project works and sites, managing compliance, security, and environmental issues.
- Support defect works management, including budget considerations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in understanding design and plans, coordinating with external design/architectural consultants.
- Assist in managing and storing electronic plans and project files for accessibility related to the project.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service, maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including tenants, colleagues, and managers.
- Manage administrative support to each relevant Project Manager, including minutes, programs, cost report and all aspects relating to project delivery.
The Project Coordinator will assist the Project Managers with the construction contract agreements with our contractors ensuring solid and positive relationships are maintained to ensure contractors deliver on performance and high quality of service to our business needs.
Collaborate and liaise with Property Managers, tenants and colleagues within the business to ensure the best outcome is achieved through costing, service and performance.
FINANCE AND BUDGETING:
- Assist in monitoring and coding budget and capex invoicing, facilitating the building/precinct project and capex budget.
- Support timely execution of recovery invoicing to expedite billing processes.
- Actively contribute to managing WH&S workplace hazards and incidents to prevent injuries to staff and the general public.
- Ensure contractors working on-site are appropriately inducted and possess the necessary licenses and training.
- Collaborate in reporting incidents and near misses to the Contract & Compliance Manager for quarterly Risk Management meetings, ensuring compliance with WHS legislation.
