About the AMC

The AMC’s purpose is to ensure that the standards of education, training and assessment of the medical profession promote and protect the health of the Australian community. The AMC Assessment & Innovation business area is responsible for assessing and examining International Medical Graduates (IMGs) seeking medical registration to practice in Australia. The Assessment & Innovation team works with a range of committees, panels, working groups, stakeholders, and other AMC staff to manage an AMC candidate’s progress along the pathway to securing an AMC Certificate.

About the opportunity

The Assessment and Innovation Project Delivery Team is responsible for delivering projects as part of the Business with a Purpose Strategic Pillar by developing and utilising AMC Assessment assets and adding value to stakeholders.The team develops technologies, products, & services, and publications which add value to the AMC’s purpose and sustainability and works collaboratively with subject matter experts developing and researching AMC Assessment pathways.

The team is responsible for Assessment related projects evolving from the Written Exam, Clinical and WBA reference groups and acts as secretariat support including providing advice on AMC policy and procedure to these groups.

  • Assist editorial projects and produce content for both digital and physical mediums
  • Develop agendas, minutes, work plans, and reports for relevant committees and stakeholders.
  • Actively and confidently engage with stakeholders to ensure Project Delivery according to AMC objectives and priorities, and professional representation of the AMC.
  • Provide high-level support and coordination in preparing for meetings and undertaking pre and post-meeting action items. Representing the AMC Assessment & Innovation Project Team professionally at meetings, as required
  • Ensuring team members have the resources they need to complete their assigned tasks on time and within their budget limits
  • Planning meetings and organising project logistics
  • Consistently contribute to the organisation's successful operation by demonstrating leadership, accepting personal responsibility for actions and decisions, collaborating with others to achieve positive outcomes, communicating effectively to understand and be understood, and displaying professional behaviour in all activities.
  • Proactively support continuous improvement in the work, team, and the organisation through being innovative, displaying critical thinking, and being responsive to the needs of customers and stakeholders.
  • Actively seek out opportunities to expand work related knowledge and improve personal and technical skill sets.

About you

You are a dedicated Project Coordinator with experience. You also possess the following experience/knowledge:

  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated time management.
  • High-level, accurate, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Able to build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office software.
  • Previous experience in project coordination

Salary and benefits

A salary of $101,000 - $109,000 per annum, including 11% super (plus leave loading) is available, negotiable depending on skills and experience.
