Required Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in quality control.
- Piping and Civils experience.
- Good understanding of quality control procedures and the project lifecycle.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting project drawings and technical documents.
- Capability to track and manage project variations and submit technical queries/questions.
- Experience with tracking project progress through scorecards and schedule tracking.
- Familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project or Primavera.
- Workpack design and compilation.
This presents a prime opportunity for a Site Supervisor/Leading Hand with a strong ambition for career growth, or a quality-driven Project Engineer. Candidates with a trade background and relevant experience in similar roles, even without a formal degree, are welcome and encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Project Management, Superintendents and Supervision to implement and oversee quality control procedures throughout various stages of the project lifecycle.
- Support the completion and management of the Inspection and Test Records (ITRs) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring compliance and quality benchmarks are met, aligned with the quality management plans and project contract.
- Gain a thorough understanding of project drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Identify, track, and manage project variations effectively, ensuring all changes are documented and communicated.
- Draft and manage Technical Queries/Questions to resolve project issues and clarify technical details.
- Utilise scorecards and project schedules for tracking progress, ensuring projects remain on target and within scope.
- Navigate and manage project timelines using software tools such as MS Project and/or Primavera.
- Creation of project workpacks.
