The team:
The Goldwind Australia development team is a vibrant and collaborative team comprising individuals with diverse professional backgrounds that support one another to see projects succeed. The Development Team is also supported by strong in-house technical departments such as grid and the wind resource analysis teams.
The reason for this role:
The Project Developer is accountable to the Development Manager for supporting the progression of one or more wind farm projects under development through to Final Investment Decision (FID).
What you will be doing?
- Take responsibility for progressing the development of one or more wind farm project(s) under development to the point of successful investment decision and ultimately financial close.
- Be accountable for the scope/ cost/ resourcing/ timing/ risk of the projects that have been assigned.
- Assist with the development of appropriate business case material used to gain budget approvals and delegated authority approvals.
- Ensure work is done in accordance with Company policies and procedures and all applicable Laws, Standards, Coded of Conduct and Legislative requirements.
What does your background look like?
- Degree qualification in a relevant discipline such as Science or Engineering.
- Business management or business development qualifications or experience.
- Previous experience in a similar or same position.
- Training relevant to any aspect of wind farm project development would be an advantage.
- A strong understanding of the many components of wind farm development.
- A sound understanding of project financing and financial modelling.
- Sound understanding of accounting and financial management.
- Ability to consolidate detailed project information into key issues that require focus.
- Ability to work in a matrix structure style team.
- Ability to manage multiple complex tasks and prioritize accordingly.
- Ability to develop project management tools if required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Negotiation skills
- Ability to relate to diverse stakeholder groups.
- Management skill of specialist contractors and consultants.
