D'Arcy Weil is representing a leading player in the Renewable Energy sector, is seeking a highly skilled Project Development Manager to join their team. This role will focus on utility-grade renewable assets, including wind, solar, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).As the Project Development Manager, you will play a key role in advancing our client's Renewable Energy projects from conception to operation, ensuring successful project delivery and contributing to a sustainable energy future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of utility-grade Renewable Energy projects, including wind, solar, and BESS, from site identification to commercial operation.
- Manage all aspects of Project Development, including site assessment, feasibility studies, environmental permitting, grid connection, and stakeholder engagement.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including landowners, regulatory authorities, consultants, and contractors, to ensure project milestones are met efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct financial analysis and modeling to assess project viability, including cost estimation, revenue forecasting, and financial risk assessment.
- Oversee the preparation of project proposals, tender submissions, and contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to optimize project outcomes and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory developments related to Renewable Energy Infrastructure, providing insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local communities, government agencies, and industry partners, to support Project Development and enhance our client's reputation as a responsible corporate citizen.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Project Development processes, streamline workflows, and maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Development, preferably in the Renewable Energy sector, with a focus on utility-grade wind, solar, and BESS projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex Renewable Energy projects from conception to operation, including permitting, land acquisition, and grid connection.
- Strong understanding of Renewable Energy technologies, project economics, and regulatory requirements applicable to Renewable Energy development in Australia.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and make data-driven decisions to achieve project objectives.
- Proficiency in project management software, financial modeling tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
