About The Role:

Bendigo Kangan Institute (BKI) is entering a significant phase of campus development where we have major new facilities to deliver across new and existing campuses.

Working in a small team of 3-4, the Project Director, Campus Establishment is responsible for liaising closely with the Head of Campus Establishment, overseeing all aspects required to take the projects from planning concept to operationalisation and identify opportunities and risks along the way.

The position requires strong front-facing interpersonal skills to enable dynamic external and internal stakeholder engagement, communications and negotiations. It also requires sophisticated organisational and administrative abilities, such as the use of project management tools, generation of evidence-based recommendations, governance reporting, financial management, data sourcing and interpretation.

• Relevant tertiary qualification in a related field and/ or significant relevant experience
• Diverse experience in project management and education administration
• Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and partnerships with industry and external stakeholders, secondary schools, post-secondary educational providers, to maximise opportunities.
• Evidence of entrepreneurial skills and business acumen, with ability to identify and develop viable new opportunities for student acquisition for these strategic projects
• Experience working with industry, advisory committees and governance structures to achieve strategic and operational objectives, with appropriate levels of consultation and engagement with key stakeholders.
• Well-developed critical thinking, analytical and conceptual reasoning skills to make informed decisions, resolve operational issues and identify and develop innovative ideas.
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively, negotiate favourable outcomes, resolve conflict and motivate key stakeholders.
• Demonstrated capacity to write clearly and concisely and create engaging presentations
• Good understanding of current education trends and technology integration
• Solid data capability, including interpreting financial and business information.
• Demonstrated capability managing operations to ensure appropriate standards are maintained, compliance with relevant policies and procedures, resources are utilised effectively and efficiently, and a continuous improvement approach is achieved.
