About the role
GLP is looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join their professional and innovative team in Melbourne. We are looking for an engineer who enjoys challenging themselves, communicating clearly and honestly, and continually developing and improving their skills, with the proven ability to successfully take a project from client specification to plant commissioning.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Proven track record in delivery engineering projects on time and on budget.
- Strong commercial experience of all key project drivers, including
- budget and schedule management
- experienced commercial negotiator
- cost control
- Ability to liaise with clients to ensure their satisfaction
- Proven engineering project management skills
- Experience in process skid, piping and or structural Project Engineering beneficial
- Design and sizing (mechanical & thermal) of process vessels and piping beneficial
- Experienced in the utilisiation of PFD's and P&ID's
- Site supervision and commissioning experience
Others requirements of the role include
- Site work (local and interstate)
- Ability to liaise with clients and contractors at all levels
- Preparation of technical studies and reports
Skills and experience
- 10+ years experience in the Oil and Gas industry
- Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- Proven contract management skills within a projects environment
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects
- Outstanding interpersonal skill
