Form of workHillery Group is a civil construction and quarrying business that owns and operates 5 quarries in the Whitsunday/ Collinsville region. We undertake small to large civil and rail infrastructure projects working with contractors in the Whitsunday region such as; Aurizon Freight Australia, Abbot Point Operations, Bowen Rail Company, and Whitsunday Regional Council.
The Responsibilities:
Internal liaison with project leads, supervisors and other departments.
External liaison/co-ordination with clients, engineers and principal contractors.
Document control and preparation of documents such as site WHS, project plans, SWMS, manuals.
Site inspections & measures.
Review project documentation including specifications and drawings to co-ordinate with project requirements.
Co-ordinate with clients, and engineers as required including submission and closing out RFI, structural design requirements and the like
Liaise with external suppliers with respect to quotes, lead times and warranty documentation.
Create and submit project tenders, estimates and quotes as required
About You:
You have a keen and 'can do' attitude; willingness to learn on the job, ability to communicate with clients, specifiers and subcontractors, sound level of skill in the use of windows suite of tools. What you will need to succeed:
A degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Business from an accredited Tertiary institution.
Demonstrated significant civil engineering experience with a minimum of at least two years.
Management and leadership skills and a proven ability to lead a team.
Recent experience overseeing road & rail projects along with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work well both autonomously and in a dynamic team environment.
TMR Project Experience is highly regarded for this project.
