As Project Engineer, you will be involved in multiple projects providing electrical engineering support, direction and project coordination across various CPS Products and Engineering Solutions. You will play a critical role in the delivery of contracts by creating and managing detailed design deliverables and solving problems to ensure effective project outcomes.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide electrical engineering support for projects delivering various CPS Products and Engineering Solutions to successful results; namely on the delivery of stand-alone power
- systems products in WA.
- Provide engineering input on standalone power system product development; assist with new product design
- Provide functional direction to the engineering team chosen on a particular project to ensure alignment to standards, legislation, and functional systems.
- Prepare designs, drawings, plans and specifications for each project as required
- Undertake technical specification reviews and resolve non-conformances as required
- Ensure engineered work packages are delivered to project managers and the manufacturing division to the agreed quality and within the scheduled dates
- Oversee testing and commissioning in workshop as per customer requirements on any given project
- Adherence to the project engineering budget, while ensuring quality, accurate engineering consultation, design, and troubleshooting requirements are met
- Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management
- Support the development of systems and processes that provide more effective and efficient project outcomes
- Solve engineering problems related to our products and services
- Participate with tenders where required for CPS Products and Solutions
- Build a knowledge base of each client's business, organisation and objectives, identify relevant opportunities and build on the relationships formed with the client
Your willingness to be a team player and provide leadership to projects will be complemented by the following:
- Degree level qualifications in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- The ability to balance engineering design, technical troubleshooting and contractual elements for multiple projects
- Ability to work to financial and budgetary constraints, demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
- Knowledge of Electrical Engineering, system designs and familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and acceptable industry practices.
- Experience in lean manufacturing is regarded
- Strong communication skills
