Project Engineer - Renewable Energy Sector

The CompanyWe are currently working with one of Australia's leading Renewable Energy companies, who are growing both nationally & globally. They have developed the worlds longest long duration energy storage system & are now looking to grow and develop internationally.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Director your focus will be on:

• Managing project activities and resources, internal and external, to ensure on-schedule and on-budget project delivery.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, develop, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Perform supplier and contractor management, negotiations, variations, dispute resolution and escalation as required.
• Conduct regular site visits to oversee construction, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including layouts, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Provide technical leadership and support to the project team, ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.
• Develop, maintain, and present project documentation, including weekly reports, schedule, budget, risk to key stakeholders.

Your Background

• Must hold a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification would be advantageous.
• Proven experience working within multiple projects simultaneously.
• Managing projects from $5 million upwards 
• Able to understand technical documentation eg. Geotech, hydrology, hydro-geology. 
• Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to motivate, influence and engage a broad group of stakeholders.
