Northern Star Mining Services is experiencing exponential growth across our operations including the development of multiple start up sites and additional portals. Due to this growth, our team has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join us.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for a range of underground gold mining projects including leading operations reporting, optimisation projects, tender modelling, business strategy, budget and cost analysis, and other projects across multiple operations.
This position is flexible for the right candidate, offering an attractive remuneration package, lifestyle roster and the option for either FIFO ex Perth or Residential Kalgoorlie location, with a relocation package on offer.
What you bring to the team:
You will be a self-driven and motivated person who is looking to bring your previous experience in Project or Mine Engineering and apply it to a challenging and diverse role.
Your skills will include:
- Previous experience in a Project Engineer position
- High level data and reporting skills with the ability to analysis operational numbers for optimisation and efficiencies
- Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Sound communication skills including being able to present new ideas and initiatives to high level managers.
- Drive to be a hands-on Project Engineer, in this role you will have the option to regularly visit site operations as required.

What we are looking for:
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
- Previous experience in a Project Engineer position within underground gold mining is highly desirable,
- Exceptional Microsoft excel skills
- Production and planning experience in a mechanised hard-rock underground environment.
- WA underground Supervisor's Certificate of Competency.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships within all levels of the business.
- Minimum "C" class unencumbered driver's licence.
- A commitment to health and safety practices
