McConnell Dowell is currently seeking an Environmental & Sustainability Manager to join the Aura & Harmony trunk infrastructure project on the Sunshine Coast. This project offers an excellent work/life balance with a five-day, Monday to Friday working week.
The position of Document Controller will see out the full life of the project with future opportunities available within the wider McConnell Dowell business.
As the E&S Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Management of an onsite team of environmental professionals (1 x Environmental Advisor, 1 x Graduate Environmental Advisor), and external consultants.
Promote, educate and ensure all staff is aware of, and utilise Environmental systems.
Undertake and maintain an environmental monitoring, inspection and audit program in accordance with project requirements.
Undertake Monthly audits onsite of all erosion and sediment controls as a qualified CPESC.
Ensure MCD Corporate and Project ESG KPIs are achieved. In conjunction with Group Environment and Sustainability Manager, ensure all site personnel receive training relevant to their role.
About you
Tertiary qualification in a relevant environmental field.
Certified Professional of Erosion and Sediment control (CPESC) from IECA Australasia.
Operational experience in the application of environmental management principles in the Pipeline construction industry.
Competent user of in-house software, with working knowledge of wider applications.
Experience in investigating and reporting environmental incidents.
