This individual will drive the successful implementation of EDL Optimisation, Stay in Business and Minor Growth Projects by utilising project management and engineering expertise. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that projects are effectively developed and executed using EDL"s Project Management standard. By overseeing the planning, design and execution phases, the Project Manager plays a pivotal role in optimising operations, promoting sustainable practices and delivering value.
The ultimate purpose of this role is to contribute to the advancement of EDL by delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of operators, stakeholders and the broader community. This is a Perth based position with periodic need for site travel in Australia and an option to work from home when appropriate.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, value and deliverables.
- Ensure projects are safely delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Develop and maintain Project Management information, including project plans, tendering, budgets, options analysis, business cases, project execution plans, reporting and HSE documentation.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and other technical documents.
- Work with engineering to design and optimise energy systems, processes, and equipment.
- Lead and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including operators, contractors, regulatory authorities, and vendors.
- Safely and effectively deliver projects at EDL's nominated sites either directly or through delegation.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in a Project Manager or Senior Project support role in the energy sector or heavy engineering.
- Experience within the power generation industry or mining with a background in the design, operation and compliance of plant, from mechanical and electrical perspective.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field) and/or relevant trade experience with additional qualifications is advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership and decision-making abilities. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
