Brunel are delighted to announce we are seeking a Project Manager with OEM experience to work with our mining client who are a market leader in providing quality equipment to the mining industry.
This role is Perth based- Offering work life balance - Remote working options
- Manage capital contracts to meet client expectations and contractual obligations, and performance whilst maintaining requirements for safety, profitability, efficiency, quality
- Manage and drive the procurement of goods and/or services required for projects minimizing total costs whilst maintaining requirements for quality, quantity, timing and availability
- Consult with Workshop to efficiently schedule Labour and resourcing requirements to maintain the project schedule and contractual delivery time frame
- Manage costing's, records and produce commercial, technical, and financial reporting for assigned projects as required, including but not limited to Work in Progress schedules
- Manage and drive project invoicing requirements
- Consult with the Operations Manager and other relevant departments to develop and maintain appropriate systems of work and standards for critical capital project management
- Risk identification and mitigation, communication (internal and external), cost control, project administration, recordkeeping, quality control, and continual improvement
- Travel to site as and when required
- Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or Process Engineering Qualification orequivalent experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and documentation
- Knowledge of electrical controls and instrumentation an advantage but not essential
- Understanding of typical commercial contractual terminology
- Experience interpreting, negotiating and fulfilling contractual obligations
- Excellent understanding of risk management and mitigation
- Ability to manage and maintain project scope including management of variationswith external and internal stake holders
- Proven ability to successfully apply cost control concepts and measures to maintainproject budgets
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Project; Word and Excel
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV an advantage but not essential
