We currently have the opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Information Technology Digital Services team as a contractor for 6 months. The purpose of the ITDS Project Manager is to support ITDS in the delivery of key projects including technical delivery, change management, communications, financial management, governance and overall resource planning.
About the Role
This position is responsible for:
- Delivery of a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to manage the various functions and processes of the UTS College People team within a single platform to streamline and automate human resource management tasks. The HRIS will serve as a centralized database to manage employee data, streamline administrative tasks, and enhance decision-making. It includes Employee Information Management, Recruitment and Onboarding, Performance Management, Learning and Management and compliance and reporting,
- Delivery of a number of initiatives to support the UTSC Security Strategy and road map. It includes overseeing a project to review and manage access and permissions within agreed systems within the organisation; Map data flows and implement a data inventory tool; Implement data loss prevention measures; Manage the encryption of agreed compliant databases; Oversee improvements to logging within the SIEM; Oversee communication regarding cybersecurity policies and procedures and improvements to compliance.
About You
To succeed in this role you must have:
- Previous experience of managing and delivering successful infrastructure or application projects, e.g. business applications, HCM or HRIS systems, cybersecurity projects
- PRINCE2 practitioner or Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Accreditation or working knowledge
- Proven experience managing IT projects from initiation to closure.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Knowledge of Organisational Change Management approaches such as ADKAR
- Strong understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycle (SDLC), infrastructure, and technologies relevant to these types of projects.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and understand technical requirements and constraints.
- Ability to motivate, mentor, and guide team members to achieve project goals and deliverables.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience developing, managing, and tracking project budgets and financial resources.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and presentation skills
