Our client is a Nationwide, leading engineering contractor that was established close to 30 years ago. They have been specialising in a range of solutions for Concrete Repair (Remedial), Corrosion Protection, Fibre Reinforced Plastics (FRP), and Waterproofing on various Infrastructure Assets.
The Role
Our client has an exciting permanent opportunity for a Project Manager with experience in Corrosion Protection / Blast & Paint and Concrete Repair (Remedial) works to join their team. This position will be a mix of project based and office based environment managing both Metro and Regional projects. We will also consider Site Supervisors seeking their next step in their career from this line of work.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective leadership and ensuring the successful delivery of various projects, with a particular focus on safety, quality, operations, finance, and customer satisfaction.
Your key responsibilities:
- Drive a positive safety culture
- Managing multiple small/medium multidisciplinary in-depth projects
- Monitoring and managing all project execution requirements and timelines
- Managing the client relationship
- Maintaining cost levels and monitoring budgets
- Liaise with internal departments and suppliers, including labour suppliers
- Ability to problem-solve, ensuring concept to delivery is achieved
- Help to effectively meet and manage client expectations, and to continue to strengthen relationships
What are we looking for?
- Experience in Corrosion Protection / Blast & Paint and Concrete Repair (Remedial) on various Infrastructure Assets - Water Reservoirs / Water Tanks, Wharfs / Marine, Bridges etc
- Minimum 6 + years’ experience in Asset Remediation, Infrastructure or Defense environment
- Relevant degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- NACE 1 or 2 certified, highly desirable
- Possess technical knowledge in coatings, surface preparation, management of hazardous substances and application processes
- Familiar with Quality systems - progressing, ITPs, QA/QC liaison
