SH Build specialises in remote construction and our work is primarily throughout Arnhem Land. We have offices in Humpty Doo and Gove and provide a supportive, fast paced and dynamic work environment.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager that must be able to travel to remote sites, be flexible, enjoy a challenge, and have complete attention to detail.
The position will be based out of our Head Office in Darwin and will include managing multiple Government Projects at any one time including commercial and Residential Projects. The position will include managing all phases and functions of Projects including liaising with all project stakeholders, scheduling, managing EOT’s and variations, reporting, budget control, meeting with clients, onsite communications, inspections, audits and reporting to Senior Managers.
CRITERIA REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION?
The below knowledge and skills are an essential requirement of the position:
- Extensive understanding of the construction industry
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Project Management role
- Ability to manage Project phases and functions
- Knowledge of construction materials and equipment
- Excellent communication, time management and change management skills
- Ability to follow instructions and take direction from senior management
- Well developed ability to interact with clients, project stakeholders and team members in a positive, courteous and respectful manner
- Ability to maintain a positive and enthusiastic approach under times of pressure
- Good organisational and time management skills, and the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, literacy and numeracy skills
- Knowledge, willingness and ability to work in compliance with applicable Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality legislation/regulations
- Intermediate or better MS Office Skills - Word, Excel, Outlook, Project
- Ability to travel to remote locations
- Ability to train and manage junior Project Managers
The below knowledge and skills will be an advantage but are not essential:
- Previous experience and knowledge of working in remote NT Locations
- Experience working on NT Government Projects
