Your new role
Based in their Sunshine Coast office, this role will encompass all aspects of project management, overseeing a $12M project with some travel. You will be supported by a full site team, including a site-based Contract Administrator, Site Manager & 2 x Foreman. Your first major project consists of new build retirement living units with an additional project to come still in the pre-sale phase. As the Project leader, you will take overall responsibility for the budgets, program and quality outcomes. Along with head contract implementation and administration, using Jonas Premier and cloud-based document control software.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you must have experience as a Project Manager working on Commercial Construction Projects for the principal contractor. Experience with retirement living units, Multi-res and/or Townhouse Developments is also preferred, while a strong work ethic and “can-do” attitude are essential. This role requires a genuine PROJECT MANAGER and self-starter. A tertiary qualification, such as a Degree in Construction Management or Diploma in Building and Construction would be well regarded but are not essential.
Only applicants with Australian experience will be considered, while a connection to the Sunshine Coast is preferred, along with experience in the SE QLD market.
What you'll get in return
Salary will be commensurate with experience, while a package of around $170k is a good indicator, possibly more for the right person. Company vehicle and fuel card along with the tools of the trade, such as laptop and phone will be provided. Progression to Senior Project Manager is also on offer, while this role allows for a good lifestyle balance; this is a Monday to Friday role working 7.30 – 4.30 pm, no Saturdays.
