About the role
WesTrac has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our Machine Rebuilds Workshop located at the Tomago Facility. Rebuilds is a dynamic and forward-thinking department dedicated to innovative solutions across the mining and construction industries. We are passionate about ensuring our rebuilt machines exceed productivity and reliability targets for our customer base.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, in this role you will lead a team of dedicated project coordinators and administrators. You will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of a large number of machine rebuilds. This is an exciting opportunity to join WesTrac in a pivotal role which is aligned to delivering our aftermarket growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day to day operational and tactical aspects of multiple or large-scale projects.
- Review the progress high level deliverables across these projects.
- Monitor critical project risks to ensure response and mitigation plans are being executed.
- Monitor and regularly report the financial position of the project
- Provide leadership, direction, advice, and support to the wider Rebuild team as required.
- Encourage collaboration across the business to share best practices and create efficiencies.
- Promote and embed a positive safety culture through demonstrated safety leadership practices.
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- A Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience working with mobile plant equipment, CAT equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on safety and relationship building.
- Computer literate with intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office package.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and handle high work volumes, demonstrating strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work to meet competing deadlines.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with a demonstrated ability to identify improvement initiatives and see them through to implementation.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
