Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Effective management and control of all works performed across the project.
- Monitor all internal and external operations and ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Ensure the project remains within budget, completed on time, meets or exceeds project margins, and complies with all statutory/regulatory/code requirements.
- Prepare prompt quotations including labour, materials, freight, and machinery ensuring lead times are considered and clients are communicated with correct timeframes.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to determine procurement needs, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Establish and negotiate contract terms and conditions and maintain supplier relationships.
- Encourage team building and ensure a positive working environment for all staff.
- Manage all OH&S compliance, reporting immediately any accidents/Incidents and ensure all OH&S guidelines and procedures are adhered to always.
- Regular project progress reporting to the Operations Manager and site client.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Previous experience gained in a Project Management position within the Mining/Civils/Earthworks sector on a FIFO or DIDO basis.
- Have achieved a BSc in Civil Engineering.
- Strong system experience (Deswik, P6 etc)
- Experience in controlling all aspects of a civils project from start to completion.
- Analytical skills – ability to process a variety of information, evaluate costs and benefits and solve complex problems.
- Effectively use and competent with all MS Suite of programs.
- Excellent organisational/time management skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong focus on safety.
