Project Manager to oversee the Women in Trade Apprenticeships Project. This project aims to support women undertaking trade apprenticeships in the automotive industry, providing them with the necessary resources and mentorship to succeed. The
Project Manager will work closely with our partner organisation to deliver mentoring services and drive cultural change across the industry.
About the RoleAs the
Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting women in trade apprenticeships within the automotive industry. Your primary responsibilities will include planning and organising engagement events and activities to create inclusive workplaces for employers. You will project manage the partner organisation to deliver effective mentoring services, ensuring the project’s success.Additionally, you will identify risks and develop solutions, engage key stakeholders to drive employer engagement, and develop strategies to achieve project KPIs. Your role will also involve maintaining key stakeholder relationships, supporting the Executive Leadership Team in delivering key activities and events, and managing the project budget and reporting requirements.You will manage the relationship with the project partner, ensuring that project activities and key deliverables are met, attending key events and activities associated with the project, driving stakeholder engagement. Working closely with key officers, you will manage the development of resources that support workforce attraction and retention for female apprentices.Your role will also involve providing advice and support to officers from the partner organisation and managing communication channels between apprentices, employers, mentors, and other stakeholders. Furthermore, you will develop progress reports and final reports for project KPIs, ensuring that project objectives are met.
The ideal candidateWe are looking for a dynamic and empathetic individual who is passionate about promoting diversity and inclusivity within the automotive industry.The ideal candidate will have a qualification or degree in Project Management or substantial experience in project delivery, along with exceptional communication and presentation skills. They will possess a deep understanding or experience in the automotive industry or trade, and a Working with Children Suitability Card (Blue Card) would be desirable.The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and have a strong ability to manage relationships with stakeholders.
