NEPEAN Conveyors (a division of NEPEAN™) provides fully engineered turnkey conveying and materials handling solutions, from concept to commissioning for some of the world's largest mining companies. Established in 1985, it manufactures and markets conveyor components including pulleys, idlers, rapid advance-rapid retreat components and drive-heads, and provides on-site installation, maintenance, and relocation of conveyor installations.
Our Opportunity
To support our ongoing growth NEPEAN Conveyors is currently seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to join our team. These positions are full time permanent opportunities based from our Slade Point Workshop and require travel to site when necessary.
Your duties will include but not limited to the following:
- Successful delivery of projects in terms of time and cost objectives
- Develop an effective Project Execution Plan for each project
- Develop and implement detailed plans and procedures for assigned projects
- Plan and control quality by project
- Monitor and control the schedule, budget and quality of projects
- Manage the project team and all stakeholders to achieve project objectives
- Liaise with design engineers, technicians, site supervisors, commission engineers and contractors as required on a project by project basis
- Liaise with customers, consultants, contractors, suppliers and planning authorities, as appropriate.
- Supervise fabrication, procurement, installation and construction work and ensure efficient standards of workmanship and work schedules are maintained
- Record and report on project progress at regular intervals
- Manage the monitoring of quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material, check working drawings, construction and specifications against site plans and conditions and arrange corrections or modifications where necessary
- Carry out site inspections
- Issue resolution
The Right Person
To be considered for this opportunity, the right person will have:
- Associate Diploma or higher (desirable)
- 5- 10 years’ experience in engineering environment (desirable)
- Underground Coal Mining experience (desirable)
- Client Management experience (desirable)
- Project Management qualification/s
- Project Engineering background viewed favorably
- Business and Commercial Acumen
- Organizational and time management skills
- Customer Service skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Communicate clearly and concise, both written and verbal
